JB's Silence Detector

A cross-platform application that monitors audio input for silence and sends email alerts when silence exceeds a configured duration.

Features:

  • Cross-platform compatibility (Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • Real-time VU meter with configurable thresholds
  • Email alerts for silence detection and recovery
  • Configurable silence threshold and delay settings
  • Rotating log files with configurable size and retention
  • Secure password storage using local encryption

Technical Details:

Built with Python using sounddevice for audio processing, tkinter for the GUI, and smtplib for email notifications. The application provides a clean, intuitive interface for monitoring audio levels and configuring alert thresholds.

Expense Authorization Webapp

Webapp for users to create an expense authorization request.
Supports required fields, dropdown budget line items and automatic emails. Writes all data to a SQLite DB.
This is a private project so no public code.

Custom web and mobile experience to support our annual Missions Conference, providing schedules, speaker info, and live updates for attendees.
Includes a responsive web interface.

A self-hosted infrastructure monitoring dashboard designed with a clean, Uptime Kuma-inspired interface. It provides centralized monitoring for traditional network and web services along with specialized checks for audio streaming and object storage.

Designed as a self-hosted monitoring platform for network, server, application, streaming, and storage infrastructure. The system combines standard availability checks with specialized monitoring for services that are not commonly covered by basic uptime tools.
